I feel like this week was pretty boring for the most part, which I guess is a good thing!! The baby did fine at the non stress test and has continued to find it entertaining to kick the crap out of my rib cage!! It is starting to get pretty uncomfortable but I don't mind most of the time, him moving a lot kinda puts me at ease that he is doing OK. My only complaint has been the overwhelming discomfort from the gestational carpal tunnel. It is getting pretty bad to the point were it is waking me up at night and in the mornings I can barely use my hands. I just keep praying that it goes away very soon after the baby comes.
The bigger news this week was that one of my best friends had her baby boy yesterday. Baby AJ Tur arrived at 10:57am and was 5lbs 13oz. Laura has been my prego partner for the last 9 1/2 months. Our due dates were only 3 weeks apart. Since we work together I feel like I shared all my ups and downs being pregnant with her more than anyone else! I must say being pregnant at the same time was awesome, especially since so many things we experienced were so similar it was scary!! It was awesome finally meeting her son and it definitely made things seem a lot more real for me! I am very happy for her and I can't wait til her son and baby Ricky are BFF's, which I know they will be :-)
Other than that my "to do" list is pretty close to being complete. I set up the pack and play, got the car seat base in the car and ready to go and did some more organizing. Now hopefully I can spend the next few weeks just relaxing!!!!!!
As you know and my mother and husband can attest to, I could not hardly walk at the end of my 2nd pregnancy. The back pain was so bad, I was beginning to think I would be plagued with it forever. My midwives said I wouldn't but it was still hard to believe. Thankfully though, they were right and within two weeks after giving birth I was getting back to normal. Here's praying for the same thing for you. Hoping your body goes right back to normal after all this. :) It is totally worth it and the good news is, you forget it just as quickly! :) Two weeks after Chyler was born, I was already ready for baby #3!!!! :)
