I am happy to say that my blood pressure has been OK the last few days, probably because I haven't been outside for more than 5 minutes. The headaches on the other hand are another story. I am not sure if its hormones or the heat but either way they are no fun. Rick is doing a great job taking care of me, making sure I do nothing at all, and I mean nothing. No complaints here! I kinda like being this spoiled. What I want he goes and gets me, so life is great! I am getting slight anxiety knowing that my "to do" list isn't getting any smaller and the baby will be here in 6 weeks! But I know that if I don't behave than he could come sooner so I will just sit on the couch with my BFF (the DVR) and not complain.
My non stress test this Wednesday went well. I only gave Baby Ricky a C+ because he was not cooperating at all. For the test the nurse is looking for him to move around and get his heart rate elevated at least 15 times, usually in 20-30 minutes. Last week he did great. This week, not so much!!! He did a lot of rolling around but we were lucky to get his heart rate elevated 5 times in 45 minutes! Little stinker! The head OB at Unity, Dr. Daniel Grace, came in and looked over everything and said he was fine, he was just being lazy. On a good note the nurse, and both OB's said my blood glucose numbers over the last week have be OUTSTANDING! (other than the night I shoveled down a whopper in 5 minutes before going to seeing Eclipse for the 2nd time). I blame my sister-in-law Courtney for that one :-) Also I was happy to hear that I have not gained any weight since last week, one of the perks to being on the Gestational Diabetes Diet!
Looking forward to my last shower, #4, Saturday for Rick's family. It will hopefully cool down into the 80's but I am at least thankful that we will be at Courtney's house so either way we can cool off in the a/c if needed. I will post some pictures after the shower.
Sounds like things are going great. Can't wait to see shower pictures! :)
